The Shabby Tea Room #88

The Shabby Tea Room's Challenge was this beautiful picture.  Aren't the colors yummy!

This is my take on this inspirational picture...

I first embossed my cardstock but before running it through my Big Shot I lightly went over the raised background with Versamark Ink.  After I put it through I then put white embossing powder all over the cardstock and heated with my heat tool.  After that  I used tattered rose distress ink and went over the cardstock and of course it resisted the embossed areas.  I stamped this jolly ole snowman on a die cut piece of shimmering white cardstock and colored with my copics.  I added a snowflake button on his hat that I also colored with my copics and a few clear gems that I colored also.  I punched a few snowflakes and added glitter.  I used a tag which I stamped and glittered as well.

I added some black Glossy Accents for his button and clear on his eyes.

Thankful...

Today I just have a couple cards that I made for my family that will not be here with us on Thanksgiving.  I used Papertrey Ink stamps and dies and some My Mind's Eye paper and Basic Grey paper.  The cardstock is Papertrey.

Holiday Card Boot Camp

Well it has been a long time.  I started school and between that and all my children's comings and goings, I've been swamped!  I'm also trying to sneak in some long walks  here and there.  I wanted to post a new card that I made last night.  I am currently taking a great class with Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner.  They are so inspirational!!  So glad to be a part of it.

I stamped this little guy on some PTI white cardstock with Memento ink and then colored with Copics.  I have added some Hero Arts bling in some of the snowflakes which are hard to see in this photo.  The next picture shows more of the card.  I followed a sketch that was presented in the class...Holiday Boot Camp.

I die cut a scalloped circle and inked the edges a bit with Distress Picket Fence ink.  I used dimensional tape and added that to a circle card that I cut using circle cutters from Creative Memories.  I made the banner tag from PTI cardstock and stamped Believe in the new PTI Red Poppy Ink.  I love the way this little guy turned out.
