Trick or Treat!!

Sorry I've been absent so long!!  No excuses really, just life happening.  I have still been creating, however.  I am currently taking the Online Card Class, Copic Markers for Card Makers!  What a wonderful class!  It is great for those of us who don't have places around that offer Copic classes.  I highly recommend it.
I created this card using my Copics on the moon, stars, grass, tombstones, skeleton and the zombie figure...isn't he the cutest?  This stamp set is from MFT.  There are also dies to match.  There was white space around my die cuts, and I didn't like the way it looked so I used my gray markers to color the white for this scene.  The night sky was done with Distress Inks.  I did learn a great tip in class which is to outline the images in black.  This really made the tombstones pop.  I am such an amature but loved how it turned out!

Well there it is.  Until next time Happy Haunting!  Take the's great!!

Ahoy It's a Boy Banner

Ahoy, It's a Boy Banner

I love how this nautical banner turned out.  This is perfect for the reveal party of a baby boy or a baby boy shower.  I used Papertry Ink's cardstock, felt letters from Michaels, various die cuts including Tim Holtz' medallion dies and Paper Smooches dies.  I will be adding this to my Etsy shop.  Hope you are having a great summer so far.  Mine just got started!!

Mother's Day box cards!!

Mother's Day

Can I just say that I have made so many of these little boxes and no two are the same!  Coworkers have ask me to make these for their moms and friends and I have spent all weekend doing just that.  I used so many different stamps, dies, embellishments and paper that I will just say that most of the products are from Papertrey Ink, Pretty Pink Posh and Pink Petticoat.  I have made six so far and have three more to go!  I hope you enjoy them as I think they are adorable...not because I did them but because there is so much you can do with these.

I hope you enjoyed a peek!  I love making these just to see how creative I can be.  In case I don't post again before Mother's Day, I hope you have a wonderful, love filled day!!

Spring has sprung!!

Finally we are seeing signs of spring here in Virginia!!  I know everyone has had a long, cold winter and are ready for some warmer, dryer air!  I crafted like a wild woman this past weekend.  It was miserable outside and so I cleaned a little and crafted a lot!  I have been making cards for our school's Relay team to sell at school.  Tonight I thought I would show you a few.

I made this card obviously for Mother's Day using the new stamp from PTI called Doodlie Do.  The flowers were stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I stamped the two flowers in the corners before I used an embossing folder.  I used the matching dies to cut out the flower and leaves on the doily I added die cut letters that spell mom and a few sequins form Pretty Pink Posh were added.

This card was a CAS card that I simply stamped added a sentiment and threw on some enamel dots.  The stamp set was from a set I had gotten a long time ago from Martha Stewart and don't even know the name.  The sentiment is from PTI's stamp set Signature Greetings II.

One more clean and simple card.  Sentiment from set as above...Signature greetings and I am loving this corrugated paper!  I picked mine up at Joann Fabrics.  The stamp was also from an old Martha Stewart set.
Well I hope you are having some spring type weather where you are!  Hope to be back soon with a few more projects I've been working on.  Good night!

Happy Mother's Day

I have made a few cards to help raise money for Relay.  I sell them at school and all proceeds go to Relay.
I love this card as it is so feminine and bright.  The tag is from PTI and the sentiment is from Stampin Up as well as the pansy punch.  The other smaller punches are from my stash.  The ribbon is from Pretty Pink Posh!

The next thing I made was a "thank you" card set.  All materials are from Stampin Up.

They are calling for snow here again!!  I am so ready for spring!!  Where is it?  I hope it appears soon!!  :)

Wishing you a very Happy....

I have been making the box cards that you see on Pinterest!  I have fallen in love with them.  They come in all shapes and sizes and can be as creative as you wish!!  This card was made for a friend's mother I adore these colors and I love this paper from My Mind's Eye!

Once you've made one of these box cards, you are pretty hooked.  Then it all folds down nicely and fits in an envelope that I made especially for this card!  This box is larger that the others I have made and therefore, I had to make an envelope out of 12x12 paper.

This picture shows the colors more.   Love these spring colors!  Some items used are from Stampin Up.  The butterfly in the back is from Memory Box.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope Spring comes our way soon!  Please join my blog if you are visiting for the first time!  Have a great week!!

Love You

So...I decided to try a different challenge that I found on "Fill Your Paper With The Breathings of  Your {Heart}*" blog.  The inspiration photo was this one.

The colors in this are some of my favorites!!  I created this card using some of the same colors, a frame and a flower from Cutting Garden.  I spritzed my stamp after inking it up to give it a watercolor effect and then used a gray copic to outline a little.  The colors are Aqua Mist, Hibiscus Burst and Stamper's White Cardstock all from PTI.  A little natural twine and a Sweet Blush button and I was done!

I also added some white stitching with my white gel pin and punched a heart in my frame.  The sentiment is from Heidi Swapp.
Have a great evening!

Notepads for Teachers

I made these sweet little teacher notebooks for friends to give to their children's teachers this past Christmas and I am just getting around to posting them.  They would make great little gifts at anytime of the year.  I work as an aide in special education in a local elementary school myself and homemade gifts are super!!

I used Papertrey Ink's cream notepads, some adhesive cork, chalkboard paper, cute stamps from PTI as well and these fabulous buttons from here.  I also used a few paper clips and some Tim Holtz clips as well.

I stamped on the chalkboard paper with Unicorn white ink and stamped off lightly at an angle to get the chalk look!  I love how these turned out.  My next pad was for someone who loves coffee!

Again, most of these stamps are from PTI except for the beans and small cup at the top.  They are from Hero Arts.  The inside has a little folder fold.

I usually take two notepads and put them together to make them a little thicker.  This template is one of PTI's.
That's it for today.  Two posts in a row...not bad!

Sweet 16 and Happy 50th in a box!

I have been on Pinterest a great deal and was fascinated by the card in a box idea.  I watched a video on You Tube by Stamping T-Card in a box.  Her box fits in an A6 envelope.  I went outside the lines on that but I used my new favorite tool, Stampin Ups Envelope Punch Board to make an envelope for the cards.  These are so fun to make and once you make one it is super easy!  Warning: Long Post!

This card folds flat and fits in an envelope!!!  I will show you the envelope I made for the next card.  I hope you are having a latte and enjoying this post as I have a great deal of pictures.

This picture was taken looking down on the box.  I love these colors together and the vellum paper on top that has sweet gold accents from Stampin Up.

These are so fun and a great little gift.  Now I will show you how it looks folded....

Isn't that fabulous that it folds down and fits in an envelope?

Isn't that wonderful....I love it!!  Thanks to everyone who posted tutorials on this.  Look one up on Pinterest as you won't be disappointed!!
PS..   The paper for the Sweet 16 card is from American Crafts and it also has gold accents!

Sweet Baby

A Pirate Ship Fit for a Baby

One of the sweet girls my daughter works with at Loft is having a baby... a baby boy to be more specific!  This Sunday the girls at Loft are throwing her a surprise baby shower.  The mom-to-be loves Alice in Wonderland and so they are giving her an Alice in Wonderland Brunch.  My daughter was an Art major at William and Mary and she volunteered to make the signs for the party!  I thought I would share them along with a card I made for the baby.

Tim Holtz would be so proud!!  I had altered these pictures and for some reason I cannot get them to upload right.  In person they are so cute.  All stamped and distressed and cut out by hand!
The card I  made is from a bag that I bought for the gifts and I have compressed it and turned it and it still won't upload properly, so I am going to show it anyways!

The bag is the one in the back and my card is in the front.

and inside is....
I thought everything turned out great!  What a lucky girl. Her friend the chef is preparing the food.  I know they will have a fabulous time!
Until next time friends....Blessings, Betty Sue

Be Mine

Valentine Banner

Well I haven't posted since October.  That is really sad but life gets busy.  Sadly this blog sometimes doesn't  get the attention if time is needed elsewhere.  Hope all is well in your world.  It is great here.  I have been creating and want to share what I made last night.  I got together with two of my besties and we crafted the afternoon and night away!  Love spending time with these girls!!  Here is what I came up with...

The color is not very good and I do apologize!  I played with deep reds and gold and some papers I have had for awhile.
Once I had cut all the parts and got everything out, I started playing around with the papers, sprays and stamping!  So fun!!
So sorry for the glare...I will do better next time.  Anyway love how it all came together.  Hope you are watching football and being crafty!  By the way...Happy New Year!!  ( We can still say that!)
