Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge #5

So...I decided to try a different challenge that I found on "Fill Your Paper With The Breathings of  Your {Heart}*" blog.  The inspiration photo was this one.

 

The colors in this are some of my favorites!!  I created this card using some of the same colors, a frame and a flower from Cutting Garden.  I spritzed my stamp after inking it up to give it a watercolor effect and then used a gray copic to outline a little.  The colors are Aqua Mist, Hibiscus Burst and Stamper's White Cardstock all from PTI.  A little natural twine and a Sweet Blush button and I was done!

I also added some white stitching with my white gel pin and punched a heart in my frame.  The sentiment is from Heidi Swapp.

Notepads for Teachers

I made these sweet little teacher notebooks for friends to give to their children's teachers this past Christmas and I am just getting around to posting them.  They would make great little gifts at anytime of the year.  I work as an aide in special education in a local elementary school myself and homemade gifts are super!!

I used Papertrey Ink's cream notepads, some adhesive cork, chalkboard paper, cute stamps from PTI as well and these fabulous buttons from here.  I also used a few paper clips and some Tim Holtz clips as well.

 I stamped on the chalkboard paper with Unicorn white ink and stamped off lightly at an angle to get the chalk look!  I love how these turned out.  My next pad was for someone who loves coffee!

Again, most of these stamps are from PTI except for the beans and small cup at the top.  They are from Hero Arts.  The inside has a little folder fold.

I usually take two notepads and put them together to make them a little thicker.  This template is one of PTI's.

Sweet 16 and Happy 50th in a box!

I have been on Pinterest a great deal and was fascinated by the card in a box idea.  I watched a video on You Tube by Stamping T-Card in a box.  Her box fits in an A6 envelope.  I went outside the lines on that but I used my new favorite tool, Stampin Ups Envelope Punch Board to make an envelope for the cards.  These are so fun to make and once you make one it is super easy!  Warning: Long Post!

 

 This card folds flat and fits in an envelope!!!  I will show you the envelope I made for the next card.  I hope you are having a latte and enjoying this post as I have a great deal of pictures.

This picture was taken looking down on the box.  I love these colors together and the vellum paper on top that has sweet gold accents from Stampin Up.

These are so fun and a great little gift.  Now I will show you how it looks folded....

PS..   The paper for the Sweet 16 card is from American Crafts and it also has gold accents!
