Reverse Confetti Sketch #23 challenge

Wanted to enter the Reverse Confetti Sketch #23 this week.  I had a great time creating something fun!

I played with several RC stamps and dies...Fabulous Flamingos, Here We Go and Love Note dies.
Love these stamp sets and matching dies.  I die cut the little car from Away We Go and stamped it in a hot pink and used cute little brads for the wheels and headlight.  It looks like a little Beetle.  I wanted it to look like the flamingo was driving it with his head stuck out the sunroof!  I had to fussy cut the windows out and added a clear cardstock window, then Glossy Accents.

I water colored some paper and cut out one of the hearts from Love Notes and used that as my sun.  The flamingo was cut out of that paper as well.  I cut clouds from white cardstock and added the sentiment from Away We Go.  Added some die cut raindrops and added Glossy Accents.  My road is a strip of black that I die cut some stitching from RC Office Edges to create the lines.

Life is an Adventure if you have the sunroof open in the rain and you are on a road trip!!  Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday afternoon!  The rain has finally stopped here and the sun is out!!

Sweet Sixteen Box Card

Good morning!  Today I have a box card that I made for a friend's niece.  She requested red, black and white and I added a little gold too!  I was super happy with the way it turned out.  I had ordered a new die from Winnie and Walter called Lulu Fringe.  I used that to make little cheer pom poms.  I also had just gotten these fun word dies from them as well called The Big, Bold and Party Cutaways.  I used that for my Celebrate!

I love making these box cards.  Once you have done a few, they go pretty fast.  The hard part is deciding what to put on them and in them.  You are suppose to be able to fold and put in an envelope...I had to make a special one for this one as it was a little big.  That's ok as the envelope was made out of gold dotted vellum!
Have a great day and get a little crafting in!!!!  :)

Mason Jar Easter Toppers

Happy Sunday!  I hope your day is sunny and bright like mine!  We do not usually have so much snow but schools here have been closed for a total of eight days, but hopefully we are on the way to Spring!  I've been busy working on some Spring and Easter projects that I thought I'd share.
Betsy Veldman has created a series going forward called Petite Places with Papertrey Ink that I am in love with.  The first in the series is a little church...swoon!  This month she is releasing a Sweet Shoppe.  I love minature buildings!!  Betsy showed how you can make toppers for Mason Jars in some of her videos and I wanted to make some for Easter.

Ok, so you see how my window is a little crooked but they are so little.  From afar you really cannot tell it's a little off.  There is landscaping for the church too.  Betsy has thought of everything!!

I have also made some with little bunnies from Impression Obsession dies.

Sorry for the glare.  Still working on my photography.  Well there you have little creations!  Hope you enjoyed.

Materials:  cardstock from PTI, Spring confetti collection from PPP, Stickles, the grass from terra textures.

Papertrey Ink's February 2015 Blog Hop Challenge

This is the image of PTI's February Blog Hop Challenge.  It is so beautiful.

Blog Hop Inspiration

I decided to play along this time as I had that whole week last week to play!  This is what I came up with . . .

I used Papertrey Ink's Doodlie Do stamp set and dies.  I heat embossed the Versamark images with white embossing powder first.  I then used a variety of inks to watercolor the flowers and leaves.  I used mostly Raspberry Fizz with some Sweet Blush mixed in and brushed that onto the flowers.  For my background I first embossed some watercolor paper with a chevron embossing folder, and then used Distress Inks and  water on an acrylic block to smoosh the colors on one at at time.  The sentiment is also from the Doodlie Do stamp set

I took the back ground after it dried and sprayed it with some gold mist to give it a little sparkle.  I arranged my flowers and used dimensional tape to give them a little lift.
Lastly I adhered it to a card base made from PTI cardstock and added some enamel dots.  It looks like Spring.  I could use some Spring right now.

Hope you like my little creation.  Happy Hump Day!!  Hope you get a little crafty today!  :)

Lawnscaping Challenge

Well happy Sunday!!  I'm back with another card.  Can you tell that I have enjoyed my surprise snow vacation.  It started with President's Day and then the snow....a whole week of crafting.  Today I am playing in the Lawnscaping's 100th Challenge!  Never have played along so why not...

Challenge #99

Here's what I came up with...

I die cut all the animals from Year Four and Critters in the Snow.  I used various papers from Lawn Fawn as well.  I die cut a little landscaping so the animals had a place to sit along with a small pond for the hippo and birdie.  I also added some stamped balloons that I colored in and one die cut balloon.  Of course I added a little sparkle with my Gelly Roll clear star pen.
My sentiment is from Stampin Up's From the Herd stamp set.  I love the idea of Party Animals!

Hope you enjoyed this one.  Tomorrow I will back at school...pooh!  Grateful for my time off though.  Hope you enjoyed your weekend and got a little crafty time in.   :)

Make It Monday #201: Cover Plate Stencils and Embossing Paste

You guessed it....another snow day.  I have had a mini vacation and am loving it!!  Going back to school on Monday will be tough in more ways than one!!  Today I am playing along with the Make It Monday challenge at Papertrey Ink.  The challenge was to use a cover plate as a stencil.  I only own two cover plates from PTI and the Papertrey Ink - Cover Plate: Stars Die was a great one to chose.

I took the cover plate and cut out a stencil.  I used that stencil to first put some distress inks on.  I then applied the stencil on my cardstock a little off centered and add Ranger Texture Paste.  The paste was transparent and I loved how the blue showed through.  I also added Wink of Stella Clear glitter over the top of the paste to give it a little shine.

I diecut some stars all from PTI cardstock (all cardstock and pattern paper is from PTI) and gave them some dimension.  I also added some silver star sequins from the Make It Market Kit  Shakers and Sprinkles.  Hope you are having a great, crafty day!!!  Enjoy!

Life's a Beach!

Hi again! Two days in a row is pretty good for me! You guessed it...another snow day. We don't get a lot of snow around these parts so dealing with it isn't a big strength here. Today I'm entering a new challenge...

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog

This is my first time entering this particular post. I made a card last night with RC's Fabulous Flamingo and dies.
I love this stamp set and dies!! I used the die to watercolor my flamingos with Tim Holtz Distress Inks along with the sky and water. The challenge is Paradise and this is paradise to me!!! Beautiful sunset over the water somewhere! I did use watercolor paper and layered it over PTI cardstock!
I also added some Wink of Stella glitter to the sky. It does not show up in the picture.

Well I hope you're getting crafty in your neck of the woods! Have a great day!

With deepest thanks

I cannot believe how long it has been since I posted last. Today is a snow day so I thought I'd play in some challenges. I haven't done this in a long time so here goes it. The first one I chose to enter was Reverse Confetti's new sketch For You Challenge.

Here is my interpretation of this Sketch For You To Try...

For this card I used cardstock from PTI, all the dies and stamps were from RC. (Here We Go and dies, and Love Note die)

As you see this is a shaker card. I used Love Notes to cut my shaker and added the little submarine from Here We Go. I cut up a strip of the hearts from the Love Note as well in silver and added those to my seed beads for the shaker part. Using embossing plates from Tim Holtz, I gave the card some fun texture.
